About
EKTA Dance Productions originally started as the EKTA Dance Troupe in 2003. It was founded by Aziz Hasan, Mitali Pakvasa, and Nirav Patel as Case Western Reserve University’s premier Indian dance troupe. EKTA incorporates and promotes various styles of dance such as bhangra, raas/garba and fusion/bollywood.
The purposes and goals of EKTA Dance Productions are listed below:
- MANAGE DANCE TEAMS: Provide opportunities and tools to our competitive teams (Bhangra, Raas & Fusion) so that they can be successful in the competitive world.
- OFFER DANCE TO OTHERS: Give back to the Cleveland and Case Western community in the form of Dance Workshops as well as an annual local competition.
- GO TO COMPETITIONS: Give an opportunity to those part of the local community to travel with the dance teams to intercollegiate competitions.
